Stocks vs mutual funds

When you buy stocks, you are totally in control because you can make decisions based on their FA or TA characteristics. 

When you buy a mutual fund, you cede control over to a group of faceless fund managers you do not know.

I think I agreed with the author. In conclusion, my feel is that stock will make the most gain out of the two options.
