I have advised many to keep this stock for long term.
Thank you guys ! After reading Livermore and Virgoan''s posts, I took a look at the Charts/Financials and note that the PE is about 4 times only and it looks quite attracitve. Went in to buy this morning at 1.72 and the next thing I realised that it has gone up to 1.77 and trading also halted. With this M & A news, I believe the price will shoot up beyond 1.82. Cheers to Livermore and all those vested.
regret not buying at 1.55 level...sigh.

Ferrochina has requested for a trading halt at 2pm today pending information.
0406 GMT [Dow Jones] Ferrochina (F17.SG) +3.6% at S$1.74 amid speculation company will make significant acquisition; "local traders are talking about an acquisition which may make the company one of the biggest steel coil makers in China," says dealer at foreign brokerage. Potential deal "likely to catapult revenues higher;" manufacturer of galvanized steel coils posted CNY3.8 billion revenue in FY06. Trader says "heard news of big plan to buy associate Everbright, but we'll have to see if it goes through." Upside capped at record high of S$1.82 set last week.

FerroChina may have gone up a lot but take a good hard look at its valuation and you will see that is it is undemanding. Most importantly read up on its expansion plans. That is why I am holding on to it for next 2-3 years.
anyone care to comments on FC... It has been on downtrend recently.....
