Imagine those poor women and children in Darfur.. They are not only financially poor, they are also physically & emotionally poor. Imagine one being raped then burned to death, then buried anyhow.

Value what you've and protect them at all costs.  Same as  investing in Stocks - always protect your Capitals and grow them slowly and steadily. Cheers!

Hi fortunegal,

If I were to bring you to the poorer parts of India, I think you will cry your heart out.  Imagine the people (even the elderlies) walking on the road bare footed, tending to a herd of cows.  But life still has to go on for them.  Our neighbouring Indonesia is not even that poor as they can still afford a pair of slippers.

Aiya! Actually Buddha wanted we all to be resonable lah. For He said (not His actual quote)" If you find anyone better than me go and believe in him. "  This He got my FULL RESPECT.

Therefore I believe in myself not that I'm better than Him.It is simply because I want to be reasonable and live a reasonable life and is thankful what is 'given' to me. Cheers!

harryp, Karma, a buddhist belief. I read somewhere that one chooses his/her parents to be what is to be and to accept whatever the life will be. There is certainly lots of unfairness in life. It is up to each and everyone to make the most of life. Do good, and be compassionate but not to the extent of giving away everything you own to help others unless can remain happy after that. Like Mother Theresa. I don't think I can be like her and do what she did.

Nah, all men are not born equal. It depends on their karma. Just be kind, smile more often and life should get better.

Peace to all and trade cautiously today.

choohian, If I know I wouldn't have ask and if I ask I'm not sure I know what I knew, then I ask and to confer what I knew.

I'm not sure I agree with you what newmoon thinks and I'm just giving my view to his last question and I'd like to know your views on that too. Cheers!

Thanks Sporeguy, I never thought if newmoon is female or male.I live in the times when "he" is used more frequently. If newmoon is a "she" then all the more I should congratulate "her" for having srarted this thread.

ten4one, Hi, I'm sure you know what newmon meant by the word "equal". He had a question mark after " All men are born equal?" Newmoon has more compassion and he is giving his view and to let us think of the less unfortunate while we are trying to make as much money as possible.

Ask yourself  EQUAL equals WHAT?  If  EQUAL  means 2 hands, 2 legs, 1 head with 2 ears, 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth etc......than we're all born EQUAL. Otherwise, the statement is incorrect!

As long as the Earth is still around, there 'll still be the super rich, the rich, the upper middle class..etc/..........and the poor. Such divides are very difficult to close. SAFE YOURSELFTHE HEADACHE and concentrate on the Stock Market LOL! Cheers!
