Portfolio update:
I have just added 30 lots of Aqua Terra at 0.485-0.49
thks soyabean and terencefok,
feel free to comment if you have anything along the way, I am confused and not sure which direction to take; seems like any option also jialat.
The impairment loss accounts for only 38% of the overall decrease... Much of it was due to reduced revenue, namely ceramic tiles and adhesives. But, no harm playing small to bet on a recovery.
newbie here, ASA hv net loss of 32mln. more than previous year.is it good to buy now? buy and hold?
But cash flows do not agree with the losses. In fact, operations are generating cash. The losses are due to the write-off in value of assets.
ASA group may be trading well below its nta, but it actually dropped 28% from 2005 to 2006. It is also gradually making less profits or more losses over the years from 2002 onwards. There is also a drop in profit margin of 11%. Holders of this counter got to be very patient and hope that it can turn around its business.
I particularly do not like the way the CEO blames the PRC government for the lacklustre performance. (i am not a citizen of prc btw)
Hi svestor, both Midas and Cenersave are highly volatile stocks. (may get kicked by their supporters haha...) For Midas, esp the recent spate of news though clarified to be untrue (the arrest), may have unsettled investors some what. Though Midas have managed to clinch further deals after the saga, one may want to consider how the news came about in the first place.."No wind no wave"... Depends on how much you believe it to be a rumour. In any case, if genuinely untrue, you can hold it, but expect interest to not come back so soon.
As for Cenersave, has always been a see-saw stock. You seemed to have got into both at relatively high prices. As the usual advice will go, hold it if you can afford to wait maybe half a year? Their recent re-appointment of TanChoonWee as executive director may spell good and bad things.. Well, the good thing is, they may see some quality in him that he is able to lead to some positive results, bad thing is... i dun wan to get sued haha... you go think about it. he has a remisier's background...
Market does not seem to be reacting much to Wall Street's sell off on Friday.
Anyway, I guessed the Singapore market over-reacted on Friday.
thks, mediacraze, I will try to hold but... hefty amount, do you think which counter is fundamental risky,
I have > $10,000 each in midas, CSC, Cenersave, and > S$8000 in SingXpress and China Sunshine Chemical
do you think which counter is more risky according to your TA analysis, pls enlighten,
your help appreciated
I suppose you have about 10K lock in this shares.
There isn't much to talk about for this share after I done a quick check. My advice would be, if you can hold it, hold till this period is over.
Join the sell-Q at a price which you would not make a loss.
Try to read more next time....
thks cyjjerry85 and alex may for your comments, will be glad if some body familiar with my counters cares to give some opinion on my counters; I bought them when I saw lots of buying ups, not sure of how strong are their fundamentals; 1st time playing shares, now looks so stupid
anyone please... thks
as this time is such a massive correction that made everyone's mouth dropped...even if on the day DOW turns green again...STI will still be very cautious...need a continuous calming sentiment to bring it up again after such a fall...as people buy up by then...many will also think: "what if tonight's DOW turn negative?"
Your best bet is to ride through this storm, fundalmentals have not changed, it cannot change over night. we have a GDP estimate of 7%, so what is the problem. BBs will come back again, ride thru' this if you are playing with your spare cash. God bless
sincerely asking for direction and guidance to learn to cross this drastic situation, thks

Sorry, typo error, 500 lots instead of 5,000 lots of Chasen at 0.020

Opppsss...just checked my portfolio and realised that I placed 5,000 lots of Chasen at 0.020 on the BUY Q and got it...a bit happy but also abit worry that this amount of money will be tied down for quite a long period i reckon

Any advice ?
Thanks

Just back from my fishing trip...very tired, a number of small unknown fish plus 2 big ones weighing more than 2kgs each...hehe..wonder if it will be the same on monday's 'fishing'
Wah...really thank alot of you for the replies and answers (especially from sohguanh & davidxiao).
I feel more comfortable and confident now...perhaps after hitting the atrgeted amount i set for myself, will start to go serious and learn all necessary basic techniques by going to courses to trade more like a 'professional' which many of you are now....instead of still being 'Gong Gong'...'Kiasu'...'Bu Gan Yuan'....'Kiasi' ...etc etc...

Really a goof forum to learn, share infos and even joke light heartedly with you kind souls around.
Once again, my sincere Thanks to all and Best of Luck
