Investers interest in CTS Infarstructure Trust is so keen that a covered warrant has been issued on the counter, just after two weeks after company listed it on S'Pore Exechange.
Macquarie Bank, which issued the contract, said that "investers seeking a leveraged exposure to CTS may consider the call warrant" instead.
And on its trading debut yesterday, 2.66 mil Maquarie warrants on CTS changed hands, trading at between 16.5c to 20 cts.
The warrant offers a cheap way to gain exposure to CTS, which has shot up by 71% from its issue px of 0.89c
An invester will need teo warrants plus the stike px os $1.75c to exch for one CTS Infarstruture Trust share & warrant expires in Sept. Yesterday, CTS stock rose two cts to $1.52c on 9.3 mil shares done.
CTS is 1st Infarstruture Trust tobe listed in S'Pore giving investers access to long-term, regular and predictable cash flows generated from assets.
Initial portfolio is made up of 100%-City Gas (producer & retailers of S'pore town gas and 70% of SingSpring Trust, the sole supplier of desalinated water to the PUB.
It also aims to position itself as a leading infarstruture play in Asia, by achieving growth through acquisitions

In City Spring's prospectus, it is already indicated that Hyflux has offered City Spring the right of first refusal for its portfolio of projects in China, under its sinospring subsidiary.
If you look at hyflux's website, under China, you can see that they have approx 260m worth of municipal projects under BOT with concession of 20-30 yrs, which might possibly be injected into City Spring, when they are completed and under the right conditions (ie right yield)

EPURE International, a water-treatment specialist in China which is planning a Singapore mainboard listing, has received a US$10 million investment from Int'l Finance Corp (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank.
The preliminary prospectus lodged with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) yesterday shows IFC has a pre-IPO stake of 13.4 per cent. 'Post-listing, IFC will retain a substantial shareholding,' said Epure.
Francisco Tourreilles, director of IFC's infrastructure dept, said: 'IFC's investment in Epure will support the development of China's water and wastewater sector and will contribute to public health and environmental improvements for the country's population.'
Epure chairman Wen Yibo said: 'IFC's investment is a strong endorsement and testament to the high standards of water and wastewater treatment technologies that we currently possess. It is also a major recognition of our high standards of quality and commitment to environmental protection.'

Earlier this year, S'pore's water-treatment group Hyflux also announced an IFC investment of up to US$20 mil in SinoSpring, a Hyflux joint-venture Coy that undertakes projects in China.

Getting some ground feeling from other forum that CTS is going to spring up with call warrant and cover warrant, plus coversion into mother share. look to spring up eventually from 1.5, 1.6 to 1.7 and even above 2 as all what ever warrant issue, cover warrant (covered) is done by bank and bank is v.rich and when warrant run out of date, eventually px will close higher then now beco's again bank is holding a lot of shares now at 1.5 on average and

Err....implying "black out" mean no news for that period, so good news have to wait awhile, say one mths later, unlike other te..control like crct, oni 1-2 week later, make so much niose. well at least merrill lynch is doing something to kick start.....
From sgx website I noticed that MacQ revised its terms for the covered call warrants with a lower strike price. I just saw that Merrill is coming out with call warrants too. Think the price will be from 1.50 to 1.55 until we hear some corporate news. I have glanced thru the prospectus and notice that the projection 2008 has a profit forecast of 27m so with 450 m units each will get ard 6cts hence yield of 6.7%. Also it is singspring that has a higher net profit margin of ard 30-33% while city gas has less than 3%. Gas biz is not exciting. Hope the injection of china water biz from Hyflux will generate more dpu to unit holders. Usually new ipo has some kind of unwritten understanding of a 'black out' period of 1 mth. so likely few days before that some extra movements can be seen in the prices.

i did 3 times ...... brought at 1.49, sold at 1.55 .... brought at 1.50, sold at 1.53 .... and the same again .... each 10 lots .... will do another round next monday ....keke
confirmed px is likely artificially control to stop at $1.50 cent just for today, maybe come Monday px will start at $1.51 cents again.
Not surpirsing to me, closed off after 5 pm, a married deal at $1.50 cents with 1,120 lot done agreeable-ly by both parties, this is the work of BBs, a result of selling one lot after one lot.
now sell to one lot buyer at $1.50c
U can still see one lot, one lot been sold down every few now and then. This is like to collect all the one lot, one lot and form them into all and average them up the price for the day, trying to scare the ppl to quickly sell away their small one lot fortune.
does this mean that they are trying to keep it artificially low to scare away small investors? do u think this stock got potential past 1.6?

I mean Cityspring px is soo..artifically price at a dollar and fifty one cents. isitint he is a runner for the big boss.
