I believe Jackjames and Chinkiasu are both, like many others,  'value investors' (ie. they perceive value in their own way).

One group sees it as somewhat risky while the other sees it as somewhat cheap.

Thus the stock market is something so fascinating!

chinkiasu, 0.525, and 0.53 is just a small difference la... I would not suggest you to buy more at 0.525, sound silly u know... say 20 lots difference is only SGD 100... come on... but, you got one point right, you bought at a price which "almost everybody higher than you"....

just got vested @0.53, 20 lots.. trying for more at 0.525..  I believe there should now be a reversal.. why, no real reason except that PE at about 8 looks solid... plus you guys have bought it at much higher price... any way EGM very soon...

LMA is a perfect example case for trading technically.

Which means to say, if one has been concentrating on the fundamentals alone, one would not have benefitted like the technicians had. The latter would have presumably abandoned ship long ago.

The EGM will be held on 1March in Holland to vote. Its not confirmed yet until voting takes place. Venner Capital + DBS nominees + Raffles Nominees combined have at least 50% of shares. Their votes are crucial. Today, 2 of LMA's Singapore directors John Lim Kok Min and Colonel(ret) David Wong bought 25000 and 20000 shares respectively. I have a question though, do Temasek linked companies like DBS have to get instructions from their master before voting at these EGMs?

698 lots sell down at 0.53 is interesting... I am interested if it can keep going down to 0.48.. or I will wait for the singaporegal to tell me if there is an opportunites when it can reverse anytime..

Share buyback in March? Is this confirmed or its just a proposal in their announcement?

Those vested in LMA must be sweating everyday while they see Bestworld keep rising everyday, a big contrast..  Well, hope can catch it when it U-turn...

Perhaps its the syndicate's last burst of fire to sell down b4 the buyback mandate. Viscious cycle, cause as the syndicate's actions cause it to dip, no buyer dare to buy in. But the buyback mandate may mean buying demand of tens of millions.

Any TA or FA specialist care to comment about LMA. Are its prospects NO better than a few less profitable  penny shares which have been moving north???. Recent report released - LMA made a  profit of US$22million.  Two brokers, CIMB and DBS Vickers Ballas, have predicted that LMA has potential. So, what's happening - dipping almost everyday from 25 Jan 07

It may or may not be "lucky", since not much people are keen to queue up to buy at the support floor of 0.545, it has become even weaker.

If a stock has immediate upward potential, it would have been frantically or readily snapped up once it hits the flat support floor @0.545. But now it is obviously weaker since it has even hit 0.535.

Hi Willteo
Temasek sold all its  placement of LMA shares some time ago when it shot up.  Temasek  did make some money  though

its against logic.. how is LMA going to pay 40% of the acquisition using shares of $0.88 ? when they dip so low.. unless they are the ones selling to the australian counterpart at a discount and offer a buyback thus in the end shoot back to $0.88 or else the acquisition will not be realised..

Maybe Temasek Holdings still have holdings in this counter?

LMA hitting 0.54 outside the right-angled triangle is bad news.

If this is not a "false breakout", the trend is very likely to be down further.

If it is a "bear-trap", let's hope it rockets upward in the coming weeks.

Both scenarios are 'equally' possible...     :(    &    :)

Regardless of what Tharman said... TA charts show that this counter is on a downtrend now.
