It doesn't mean that any short selling done today must be covered up at the close of trading day. It can be left to the SGX to execute the buying order three days after date of sale when the shares have to be credited into the buyer's account when payment is made. Aiyah - when a share is likely to fall further in price over the next three days, why bother to cover up on the day of short selling ? U will make more kopi $$$ leaving it to SGX to execute the buying order! Just for the info of those who may not know this "loophole" to make easy kopi $$$ and panick into covering up on the same day the shares were short sold
The "limp" defenders are on their knees crawling and faking an advance to "bluff" my gang of short sellers - they short sold a sizeable number of lots progressively this morning. Waiting to collect our kopi $$ for our victory breakfast tomorrow!! Join in the merrymaking before it's too late today!!

The seemingly rich (sure? - may be they are just church mice)"defenders" will lose their pants trying to defend this counter with the onslaught of the tsunami of daredevil short sellers today!!
