I personally made some gains in this counter.singaporegal is right that Asia Pharm is on an upward trend.I have just vested 30 lots this morning after recent selloffs.
I think AsiaPharm has just started on an uptrend. It just crossed the upper bollinger band and the other charts are looking good. Good volumes too.
Do you think it is advisable for me to get 30 lots of Asiapham at 0.615?

AsiaPharm Group Ltd: M&A activity kicks off with new cancer drug acquisition
AsiaPharm (APHM) will acquire a proprietary cancer treatment injection drug (CMNa) along with all its related patents, technology processes and distribution channels for an all-cash amount of RMB80m from Lifetech Pharmaceuticals. The drug CMNa is touted to increase the curative effects of radiotherapy towards cancer cells. This acquisition lets APHM jump start its foray into the global cancer drug market worth US$28.5b in 2005. We believe the M&A momentum will build up for APHM as it seeks more opportunities to fill its disease focus areas in the brain, liver and cancer. We have revised our net profit forecasts for FY07 and FY08 to RMB131m (previously RMB123m) and RMB169m (previously RMB151m), respectively, to cater to a combination of contribution from CMNa and the normalising of healthcare policies. We have also upped our fair value to S$0.75 (previously S$0.64) at 14x FY07 PER and reiterate our BUY rating for APHM.
CIMB-GK has a price target of $0.67.

Ø Asiapharm (APHM) has acquired the patents, process technology,
manufacturing licence, and distribution networks for CMNa, a cancer
treatment injection drug for Rmb80m. Once the drug is approved for use in
radiotherapy by SFDA, APHM will pay an additional Rmb50m to Lifetech
Pharmaceuticals in Guangzhou.
Ø Point: CMNa is the only chemical sensitizer for radiotherapy for
cancer treatment in the world. The drug is patented in the US, EU and is
awaiting patent approval from Japan, providing potential for exports. We
believe the drug has strong potential for growth and will ride on
Asiapharm's hospital distribution network.
Ø Relevance: The acquisition is pegged at an undemanding 6x PE based on
Rmb80m. We have raised our net earnings by 14% and 18% for FY07 and FY08
respectively and target price raised to 76cts, based on 15x PE on FY07
earnings, taking into account the drugs' growth potential. Upgrade to BUY
from Hold.

Had traded a few times on this counter over last 2 weeks, last one was done last Friday @56.5cts..I think downside is limited, especially now that this news came on..and if the clampdown on the sale of drugs in China(which cause this counter to head South) has improved, stock has very good upside..watch out!

By your personal reckoning (as opposed to a TA-based verdict on AsiaPharm), will a turnaround happen soon? The stock price has halved in a matter of a few months, causing much nail-biting and head-scratching. When will be a good time for bottom-fishing? What's your gut feel about this?
