Year End Rally will happen. One reason is due to Fund Managers dressing up their Books and another one is what is being said in the 3Q reports and of course the last one is the coming IMF show (watch out for this one!). I'm bullish .........very bullish this time! Cheers!!!!!!

A rally from Oct to New Year is plausible of course. Then it make sense to accumulate during this period of weakness when prices and volumes are low. Observation is that smart monies always take position ahead of emotions and euphoria. After the severe falls in May there may be not much downside from here on. Any other views?

In a Singapore strategy report on Monday, Citigroup pointed out that the Straits Times Index (STI) had rallied in Q4 for seven out of the past 10 years, with an average return of 9 per cent.

'If history repeats itself, we are more likely to see a rally in the Singapore market in the fourth quarter,' said the report. It attributed the trend to the year-end effect when investors tend to put money to use on expectation of better prospects for the year ahead.

Something to look forward to.
