Hi shplayer,

I'm guessing its uptrending because the Acc/Dist and Chaikin are uptrending. You're right however that the RSI is downtrending now.

To me, its all probability. 2 out of 3 indicators say its uptrending, so I would think its a higher probability that its uptrending. However, because the RSI is going in the opposite direction, there is some uncertainity in this counter.

singaporegal,

Why do you say it is on a gradual uptrend/ Is it cos the Bollinger Bands are wide?

My take is that short term it may downtrend cos....
  1. Prices recently broke above upper  Bollinger band indicating a possible trend reversal.
  2. The other indicators...AD, RSI, Chaikin, Williams...are downtrend.

Thank you.

Hi shplayer,

For this counter, its pretty tough to tell the time frame. I can't say...  I can only guess that this one appears to be slowly going north.

singaporegal,

When you say it is on 'a long term gradual uptrend'...what is your timeframe? 10 days to 2 weeks?

Thanks

Sorry, my earlier thread....point 3 should read as....'Share price at that time was about 30% premium of NAV.....

red1721,

Like you, I too use to hold CMT...but I sold it prior to the recent post election downturn.

The reason I sold was based on fundementals. .....the potential yield for 2006 was about 4.6% at the time I sold.
  1. FD interest rates can be secured at about 3%.
  2. The premuim yield of 1.6% does not justify the potential risk of capital loss (of course, there is also possiblity of capital gain).
  3. Share price at that time was about 30% of NAV (not too sure of this figure but its about that)
  4. There are other REITS paying better yields.....with less demanding premiums/discounts on NAV.

Having said that, ask yourself this question...2006 yield is 4.9%, 2207 yield is 5.0%..=> 2% yield growth. Are you happy with this forecast 2% growth?
