Kim Eng targets $0.95 this morning CHEONG AH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Maintain BUY recommendation
  2. We remain bullish on Silverlake Axis. We believe the pipeline of potential contracts and requests for proposals, as well as its momentum, remain strong. In the longer term, demand for its software products will be driven by increasingly sophisticated regulatory and compliance requirements as well as competitive market conditions.

KImEng targets $0.95!!!!!!!!!!! CHEONG AH!!!!!!!!!!

Q307 results should track well above previous year

We estimate upcoming Q307 results, likely to be announced in the first week of

May, to be about 20% better sequentially (there is no YoY comparison). Silverlake

reported net profit of RM45m in the first six months of FY07, with almost RM25m in

Q207. We maintain our full-year net profit forecast of RM100.4m (RM0.089 a share).

Reiterate BUY.

It looks now poised to head up, see the huge block clearing $0.54, big boys are in aciton ........

This company specializes in banking software targeting at small-&-medium sized banks. They have recently made an inroads into Pakistan installing their system to a few ISLAMIC banks. So there is a speculation of Islamic funds buying. At the same time, there is also a chance for being a takeover target as suggested by the following :

Silver Axis (Formely known as Axis System Access) specializing in banking software is poised to gain further strength after the breakout above $0.52. Two Fibonacci retracement marks are now overlapping each other and this suggests that $0.54 will be clinched soon. Stochastic shows a very nice crossing and the stock is now in a ballastic upward explosion. Upside targets could be set at $0.55, $0.59 and $0.63 depending on the time horizon

Axis System broke its 2-year high this morning with high volume. MACD and Stochastics are all looking good. Its first Middle East contract is doing wonder. Should "chiong" for a while. Can go in and get some kopi money. Trade with care though.

It said it has secured a contract to supply a comprehensive suite of integrated banking solutions to Commercial Bank International PSC (CBI) of  UAE, the group's first deal in the Middle East.

Under the master reseller agreement and master license reseller agreement entered into with Silverlake Corp, Axis units - Axis Systems Sdn Bhd and Silverlake Adaptive and Applications & Continuous Improvement Services Ltd - will provide (CBI) with a full suite of delivery channels and core banking software applications.

"This contract would serve as a springboard and showcase to future opportunities with other financial services institutions in UAE and the Middle-East," Axis said in a statement.

I think the price rose more because it was in talks to discuss the contract, rather than interest in its results.

Rose on expectations that it would report a good set of full year results. Pretty common for a stock to run up ahead of results. But if results are in-line or disappoint, expect a sell-off.

From TA point of view... its a penny stock with low volume. It only came alive recently. Not a good TA pick.
