All the oil companies will benefit from this. But with previous negative investor sentiment, its hard to say how CAO will perform once it relists.

with the current interest in oil plays and growing demand for oil, I think CAO cld be a good buy in the mid term (my own view).

There is a good article on CAO relisting by Teh Hooi LIng in The Business Times today. I read her columns regularly. She is really quite good.

Thank you xantho! I guess alot of people will be watching this counter closely to see what happens. Still dunno if I should risk money at the start of trading. i think its 50-50 either way.

Hello prettylisa - CAO will be resume trading end March and everybody from the funds and analysts to the retail investors and traders are speculating on the price to be. You probably know the background details so without rehashing all those stuff, my uneducated guess is that it will trade anywhere between S$0.17 (new NTA after consolidation) to S$0.60 (3.5x NTA). If I must stick my neck out, I say the counter will open at S$0.49 (which the price paid by the new shareholders), get chased up to S$0.68 (4x NTA) and settles down to a slight premium above S$0.49, probably S$0.52ish. But on the hand, sellers who had been crying over the past year might be overly eager to unload... And yes, I will be queueing as I believe that CAO is fundamentally sound, just a case of badmanagementitis.

How? Thinking of buying back into CAO when they relist. Should be quite a bargain now. Anybody has any thoughts on this?
