
Because of negative gearing, people are buying 2 or 3 or 4 properties. The property burble is getting bigger by the day and Australia gov is going to implement cooling measures to stop the burble. Now more people want to sell their properties than to buy.

Good. Loyal  and vetran stakeholder should be fairly and  duly rewarded. 
I think the  original thread for this stock was started by shareplayer, another  knowledgeable  vetran stakeholder who is no longer around.    Miss his incisive posts.

Help to break your loneliness. I have vested in this stock for some yrs now and quietly collecting its stable stream of dividends yearly. Yes, many people do not appreciate it because its price appreciation is very slow.

Full yr profit drop 40%, revenue drop 45%, declared 3 cents divided.

Financial year ended 31' March and results will be announced in May. Last yr paid 4 cents dividend.

  With this new project, SL needs at least 300 millions to build these properties, So may not be able to maintain the 2 cents   dividend payouts for the next 4 to 5 years.
 
 
 
Stamford’s Macquarie Park tower project wins NSW government approval

Stamford Property Services has won state government approval to carry out the $350 million to $400 million redevelopment of its hotel site at Macquarie Park, in Sydney’s north.
Where the Stamford Grand North Ryde currently stands, a mixed-use project known as Macquarie Park Village will take its place. The Stamford will be demolished and replaced with seven apartment towers ranging from four to twenty storeys.
Plans approved by the NSW government indicate that the project will yield 576 apartments, 746 car spaces, with some commercial and public spaces.

Management is trying to sell the hotels at good price, if this is done, can expect good special dividend. RNAV should be around S$1.10.
Yes, in addition, the dividend given is consistently reasonable and much better than the bank.  Just need to be patient with this stock for the good news when it unlocks the actual of its asets.

I vested this one from HSH day till now using CPF, it have return many manay fold to me. it is split into Couger log now know as MYP, S'pore shipping and Stamfordland.
if you have vested like me, then today u would be happy.
it may appear not so good, but it is not that bad either.
what is true way back may not be true coming.
 
think Stamford Land was from hai sun hup restructured into Stamford Land and Singapore Shipping ? 
my personal opinion : stamford land " biggest overlook" is when during the late 90s, when Keppeland and Capitaland and other big HK property firms were busy entering into China property markets,  stamford land didnt do so (was too conservative much ?) and instead choose australia and new zealand. well, not too bad as AUD has appreciated much, but when i look at the 'analysis report' , australia has 30% tax on capital gains ? wow, that is a lot.
if stamford land had chosen to go into China property markets in the late 90s and early 2000s, like Kepland and Capitland, then bingo " jackpot', like what happened to some HK property groups. Sigh, it didnt do so.

This is more hotel stock than property as their property dev not making money, their NZ Auckland project  was losing money for every unit they sold. That's the reason why they sell few units by few unit so as not to feel the pain of their loss. Managemnt claimed some units were rented out with gross yield of 5 %  ( net yield maybe only 3.5% ) , but the inerest cost is about 6.5% as advised in last AGM.
Unless they sell the hotels to unlock value and pay special dividend to shareholders, otherwise there are many better companies to put our money in.
