1. don't know of any except brokerages. u can always sign up and just use it to view. or sign up a CFD account to view but don't fund it. if u don't fund it, you can't trade on CFD anyways.

2. u can try these sites, http://www.theedgesingapore.com, http://www.cnbc.com, http://www.nextinsight.net

3. sign up with a brokerage and get them to mail you. otherwise, i recall there's a site for these news... http://www.remisiers.org

4. this is a stock forum. u can also try channelnewsasia forum, nextinsight forum..

5. you can also download this charting platform, http://www.chartnexus.com  for charting. updates daily.

Hi all,

I have just been in Singapore for 3 weeks. I have invested in the listed stock in my country, but quite strange with the listed stock market in Singapore. So, I really need your help at the moment. Would you please answering some of my questions:

1. Websites to follow transactions of all stocks (like a priceboard)?

2. Websites to update daily news relating to stock: marco and economic news...?

3. Website for free search reports that help in decision making?

4. Whether there are stock forums that people discuss their stock tradings?

Once again, thank you very much for your help.

Hi Warrenbegger,

Thanks very much for your warnning. Actually, I had to pay some learning fee in stock market in the past (not in Singapore, but in my own country). So, hopefully, the learning fee in this time will not be high :). Anyway, as I said, I just want to find out about Singapore's stock first, no trading. So, I think there is no loss or profit in the near future. :)

Thanks

Thanks,

It means that I must join a certain broker to have account for live prices? At the moment, I don't want to join immediately. Is there any other way for me. Haiz, maybe it's the difference. In my country, all live prices are free (off course, you can pay some fee for other better services).

First of all, a chart is just a map of the past... just a reference.

It is the single mosty important tool of any investor or stock bettor.

But the same cannot be said of 'TA'. TA is purely human views of

the chart plus a lot of other opinions, views and prejudices typically

based on a host of scientific and mechanical and other calculations

                            derived from past data.

As for SG stock info, ShareInvestor.com or SGX. com can be tried.

Live prices should be available on any broker's site which you join...  Smiley

Yes, you are right. Emotional control, I think, is the hardest part. Anyhow, which website do you often suft to look daily transactions?

P/S: I don't think I mixed up charts with TA as what charts mean without analysis

You obviously have misundertood me...

You have dismissed the importance of charts in favour of other

knowledge. You mixed up charts with TA. Chart is chart, TA is TA.

Just as all people see the same maps of places,  no two person can see

different things shown on a chart. A chart looks the same to all people.

It is the TA (ie. their analysis) that differs from person to person. And

people often use TA to rationalise and justify their own prejudices... Smiley

Thanks for your response too. Charting and chart patterns also depend on eye of the charters. So, with the same charts, two charters can have very different decision-making. It's quite normal in my country. Anyway, forgeting about it. Can you recommend me the website to update daily transaction of stocks in STI? Actually, at the moment, I don't want to trade immediately, but want to know and  be familiar first.

Thank

hoangpham...

I undestand where you 're coming from...

You want to learn the ropes of stocks betting (my definition).

Since you are willing to pay to learn, I presume you can

afford to incurmuch  losses in doing so. Then best advice

I can give is to start mastering charting and chart patterns

before anything else.  But forget about indicators (aka is TA),

except for an academic undertstanding of them...     Smiley
