Hi
I have created this thread for you guys to share your opinions and discussions for Malaysian stocks, for the benefit of those who are vested in Malaysia
For a start, I would like to highlight a company, Gopeng Berhard.
Gopeng is engaged in cultivation of palm oil (principal business). It also engages in property development as well as water treatment and manufacture of building materials.
What I like:
- Bright prospects ahead in view of high crude palm oil prices.
- Profit from associate in water treatment biz picking up and showing better results.
- Economic growth expected to spur demand for properties and building materials.
Financials:
- Profit for the 3 months ended 30 June 2007 doubled while 6 months ended 30 June 2007 trippled.
- Stock is grossly undervalued given that it is at a discount to NTA of RM1.16. Palm oil is one of the hot things now in the market, surely it deserves a premium. Last traded at RM0.88.
*Do your research before you trade*
*Good luck*
Any other good companies?
