Good to accumulate some components stocks like Sembcorp Industries if STI further head south during the IMF period. Dow up at the moment, if ended green, there might be a bonus payment for those who had bought Sembcorp at below $3.18 yesterday.
Summer holiday ends this week in US and Europe. Volume in September will be in full swing! The IMF and bank bank meetings will be a 'plus' to S'pore market. Temasek should be in action too. Ride the wave ....
For those who want to take a long position, can consider the 2nd & 3rd week of Sept coz everybody will be very busy with IMF, and shortists will roam the market when big boys nt around..
Should be a quiet day again tomorrow, volume will still be low.
Fed's 8th Aug meeting minutes will be out S'pore time 2am Wednesday ... follow by other US data coming out this week. This week could be a turning point for September's trading.
My bet is: First 3 weeks of September will see market rally till 20th Sept when the Fed meets again.
US (DJ & Nasdeq) today (so far) seems to be gd.....
Does it somehow "hinting" Fedreserve will not up the rates liao???? better not....
Hopefully DJ & Nasdaq will bring tomorrow SG cheong.... and also all regions must cheong also.....
Everywhere down today ... all looking to US's data reporting this week.
