The Board of Directors of Unionmet (Singapore) Limited (the ?Company?) would like to announce that the Group will report a loss for 1Q2008. This is primarily due to the underperformance of a key subsidiary in the People?s Republic of China (?PRC?) as a result of higher cost of sales and plummeting zinc price.
In view of the decline in average market selling price of indium, the Group expects to make provision for impairment loss relating to its core products, indium ingots.
