Yes, this is good news! this means the LCC works very well!
SIA setup the scoot to cover the holes tiger made.
Last FY, almost 40 percent of the revenue came from Australia. SIA saw what's its missing and decided to fill in the hole. We have SilkAir to cover SIA and scoot air to cover tiger.
Its a good news!

25/May, Singapore shares end higher Wednesday though market sentiment
continued to be weak due to debt issues in the Europe and a slowdown in
China.
STI
ended higher at 3118.65 (0.2%) with regular VOL of 1.23 billion shares
traded compared with 1.14 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market,
losers outnumbered gainers 242 to 178. Today rally is lack of
conviction which can be affirm by the negative market breadth despite
index gains higher.
