tigerair seems to be quite aggressive with their marketing recently also flying to interesting destination like boracay and maldives ...

i intend to buy  some, but the continuous complaints on their fb and twitter,  the competitive  budget options available ...

can't give me more reasons to buy

Tigerair has faced booking issues with its website, which UOBK says generates ~80% of its ticket bookings, for at least two days. Though mgt says, the problem which was triggered by a scheduled maintenance event, has since been resolved. According to comments on Tiger?s Facebook page, complaints about the inability to book flights on the website started as far back as Monday. The counter is down 1% today at $0.50

New year coming, esp Chinese New Year festive season, air travel will speed up.   More revenues will be reported in the following quarters after new year.   So worth considering buy air companies, tour & travel agents (any listed?), pawn shops, jewellery companies, gifts and grocery (store up for CNY) shops. Also don't forget casinos as the devil will bring them gambling, lol.   (Last one is just a joke, ok?).

Market going to move up soon.

Tiger Airways  Holdings: ?The Group posted a net profit for the second quarter, after taking into account the gain on partial disposal of  Tigerair Australia. This qtr result expect to be positive. Main concern is the extent on losses by its associates.

Any views ?

Why is Tiger Air moving suddenly?   Has been losing money all the while.   Hope no more rights issue until next year. No money to buy rights already. Hahaha!!

Looking  from technical chart, the previous 0.515 has formed a bottom base. If today could closed above $0.575, it may  start to change  direction. And the price of below $0.6 will soon become history.

Not vested and good luck.

Dear Veteran,

Noob investor here. I bought Tigerair at $0.64. Do you reckon the price will rise again in the next 12 months? Many analysts have given Tigerair a buy rating with $0.7+ but it seems to me that its going nowhere and might even drop further. Their reputation is already so tainted with bad reviews coming out of many people's mouth... How will the business ever be transformed? Please advise on whether I should hold onto it. Many thanks!

oldflyingfox      ( Date: 02-Aug-2013 10:41) Posted:

Transforming the business will takes time, as just leave it to the expert to fix it. I would suggest you don't watch it for a year, now the price is at the bottom. After it turns around, the price will then start to move.
