Sunningdale Tech hit a 2-month high of on above-average volume, extending Mon's 13.0% gain. Sudden spike in usually thinly-traded stock renews speculation of plastic components maker being takeover target. "There was a lot of rumour about them being taken over last year, but that fizzled out. So there may be renewed talk again," says dealer at bank-backed brokerage. But spokesman for precision plastic components maker dismisses talk; "we are not aware of any developments at this juncture." Sunningdale widely touted as acquisition target last year, when private equity firms like KKR actively sought out companies in Singapore, Asia.
