MMP Reit has make its first acquisition in Chengdu, China, for a 50 % stake in a retail property that is about 100,000 sq ft, which will yield net income of 8 % for approx  S$30 m.

This acquisition will yield a net 0.089 cents of extra div base on 2006 results, quite close to the 0.108 cents of extra div base on 2006, which they will get from the japanese propert acquisition.

Note that the extra div from the china property is almost as good as the japanese one, even though the japanese property cost 5 times as much !(approx 180m).

In addiotion, MMP reit will have the right of first refusal to buy more china properties from the original seller, and is eyeing close to 1 million sq ft of retail space from this seller, which is 10 times bigger the the current 100,000 sq ft of acquisition !

Finally, after nearly 2 yrs of waiting, MMP Reit is finally acquiring their first grp of properties in Japan - after all, that is what REITS are supposed to do. Although, the yield accretive acquisition is not much, nevertheless, this is the kind of catalyst needed to drive up the stock price, as evidenced by the uptrend of the other reits.

Technically, the picture looks good, and I won't be surprise if it clears the all time high of 1.24 soon.

This is not an inducement to trade, evaluate your own risk appetite first - stocks like this are normally not meant for trading, rather for holding for the medium term.

Buy at 1.21 today after 1.20 broke at high volume.

Not really, Not saying it won't go higher.
Everything (life / matter) have its cycle.
Just that at that point of time when i sell (base on chart), the highest it can go is that value. After then, i haven't revisit the chart.
I have move on to other counters coz' i'm trader mentalilty inclined.
(i fully agreed REIT is a great market theme)

Chart is on a daily basis. Things are changing every seconds.

Additional: AsiaPharm may gap up on next mon if this weekend nothing big goes on. (similar situation to Gent Intl few weeks back).
Chart, sentiment, volume etc.

ihatcoy, have not cleared mine yet.  Wanted to sell at $1.19 late yesterday afternoon but do not have luck, it when south very quickly lah.. so should still hesitating.

Past 2 days very busy with work so, didn't online.

Hope you have cleared off ur MMP holdings e other day when it face resistance at 1.20 as i mentioned. I have cleared all mine at 1.18 (wed) after it failed to reach 1.20 at all. 

that day downtrend is confirmed with a graveyard doji

Solid... on strong uptrend as expected!

i would say, hang on a bit. Wait for market theme.
Hopefully, REIT to be in play for year 2(007) 1st week.

For all time high, with no chart pattern, resistance to base on,


i simply base on Pivot Points for Predictions


next coming monday resistance:
[1.17 (H)+1.11(L)+1.17(C)+1.17(H)]/2-1.11(L)=1.20.
Support:
[1.17 (H)+1.11(L)+1.17(C)+1.17(H)]/2-1.17(H)=1.14


if 1.14 breach, then cut-loss ba.
(just shairng, hope it helps)
