strange but why does the title thread shows delisted?
0.045 div payout, seems like a defensive counter, what's your take?
got that but how the dividend pay out later........... like 0.06 per share of dividend is how much how is it calculate ;) please enlighten me
Singtel still has the largest market share right?
Comparing between Singtel and Starhub, I think Singtel is a much larger company.
Yeah, this counter for dividend play and future growth.
haha me again... singtel now starhub. this stock turning bullish is it ? just curious.. can keep for long term
hmm, Starhub Cable Vision's profit margin is affected by the cost of EPL but Starhub Mobile is doing good.
Is this counter so boring?
No post in 2007.
How about its performance this year? Any comment?
hmm starhub is delisted?
Starhub a big gap now today. Anybody knows the cause? Thanks.
Goldman Sachs has raised its price target to $2.70, citing potentially stronger results for the company this year. Goldman Sachs increased its earnings forecast for 2006 by 8%.
"We believe the upcoming 14% capital repayment should be a key catalyst for the stock; we forecast another potential 16% total cash return in 2007. Further, we believe the company's operational and financial performance may continue to surprise on the upside this year; our revised 2006 estimated earnings forecast is 11% ahead of consensus," Goldman Sachs said in a client note.
The bank also said StarHub could capitalise on Singapore's current low broadband and pay-TV penetration rates and boost profit margins with its economies of scale.
Starhub seems to be on the uptrend now. This stock really sees big movement in 1 day.
This are my thoughts -
Singtel - largest market share and is the current incumbent
Starhub - competitive price plans and a monopoly on cable TV
M1 - ? anyone has any thoughts?
Don't get me wrong... I'm an M1 user and I think their service is great. However, from a biz angle, I think they're facing intense competition from the others.
M1 operational cashflow adequately covers its dividend distribution. among all the telcos i think its cash management is best. its free cashflow yield is among the most healthy and has been increasing.
In this turbulant times, its share price is holding well compare to its peers.

Starhub seems to be holding well in this bear market. Rising when others are falling.
On a personal note, I think Starhub very potential. Don't ask me why coz maybe this is one of the counters that I made the most when I collected it at $0.91 and sold at $2.05. And also a lot of my peers are using Starhub services and only a fraction are using the other two. So if Starhub can expand their base thru various channels, I think it can be another counter that the stock price can be on par with Singtel.
M1 is worst of all 3 telcos ?
becos of this monopoly, cable tv is so expensive here! =(
but broadband tv coming up soon! may eat into starhub's pie, although starhub has exclusive content rights for some syndicated channels like ESPN...
it has other business besides being just a telco. it has a monopoly on cable TV now.
i think starhub is a lousy telco now... it's pricing not competitive anymore...
