MOBILEME SHOULD BE FREE
-----------------------
Rumours have it that Apple's subscription-based Internet service MobileMe will soon be free. Stoking the rumour mill was last week's launch of the MobileMe Mail beta web application, which touts a new interface and improved performance....
Is this BAD fOr SingTel ?
ehh.. heh.. lets say if u consider these few items.. although i don't know if there were any...
split stock, bonus shares, and dividend reinvestment on every dividend payout... you may not have hit the 300k to 400k range.... but u would at least hit 200k or maybe 300k? ;)
All singtel outlets add up together, they are not more than one block of HDB flats How much you expect their share price to be in such an EXpensive land of SINGAPORE. Few dollars share price for singtel is more than enough. LOL!

Have you taken into account share price dilution since growth in market capitalization from time to time?

Where is the link ....is really dumb to compare this way.
20 years ago, 5 room HDB flat at $70K to $100K (direct from HDB), Singtel at $2.50
Today, 5 room HDB flat at $300K to $400K (direct from HDB), Singtel up slightly at $2.85 (but maybe not for long)
20 years later, 5 romm HDB flat maybe at $1 million (with inflation), and our dear Singtel will still be at only $3 at most.
Maybe Singtel will become the largest market cap stock to the smallest mkt cap stock in 20 years time.
Singtel shares hitting 52 weeks low.
Going back to IPO price of $2.50, which is 20 years ago.
No capital gains even if you hold this stupid blue chip for 20 years.
Although Management cites good dividend of about 5%, factoring inflation, Singtel probably gives ZERO REAL returns after 20 years.
What happened to the management?
Should it be taken out of the STI since it is a lousy performer like Chartered Semiconductor and STAT Chipac?
