Once the chief confirmation it date or sort of publish in paper and price drop by 3-5cents, the drop in cents will be your profit, buy on a dip.

Sing Tel will fall further. The TA charts show this quite clearly.

Not too good. Looks like the share price is now supported by its pending dividend payout and share buy back.

SingTel fell after two major brokers issued bearish reports. Merrill Lynch downgraded SingTel to "sell" from "neutral" on Thursday, based on its negative view regarding the prospects for a turnaround at SingTel's Australian unit, Optus.

Separately, Credit Suisse maintained its "neutral" rating on SingTel, but said "we do not expect the outlook to improve anytime soon" in a client note on Friday.

Many factors at play... most of the time, retail investors are not in control of the prices.

Quite an irony, Share price seems to be moving up after Mr Lee's announcement that he was leaving. Any explanation?

Anyway i believe S'pore Int'l is always and is limited in talent pool. So oni limited ppl can go to limited Coy. Believe singtel will go to greater height when news break that certain who and who is found to bring it to a high plane.

PSA the big bro and NOL small bro, joining smaller bro to meet bro in a mergeing exercise, don sound very logical unless the parent say so. General Int'l Commander (GLC).

Yeah... Singtel is probably one of the better stocks around. Mr. Lee has done quite well... turning a local company into a global player.

I've vested interest in SingTel and I'm not bother by Mr Lee quiting as President and CEO. What I'm more concerned is who is going to replace him and the path he or she would be taking to bring SingTel forward. I'm sure Mr Lee has already found someone capable to replace him. I'm looking forward to see who that person would be!

I personally feel that Mr Lee had done a good job in SingTel and it is not uncommon for 'Top Gun' to leave after he has done with the Company. My best wishes to him for his next endeavour(whatever it'll be). Cheers!!!

The rumour that he will join NOL is quite plausible.....this is my take...

Temasek has always wanted to take PSA public or merge with NOL. David Lim, during his tenure, turned this opportunity down.....I suppose this was one reason his contract was not renewed.

Now, with both the top spot of NOL and PSA vacant (PSA chief joined politics), this would be a good opportunity for someone with renown pedigree to step in to merge these two entities. The younger Lee's experience in merging Optus into Singtel certainly would lend his candidacy credance.

This is my personal opinion which I  feel is plausible but with no evidence of truth.......just something to ponder about???

the market doesn't seem much affected by Mr. Lee's quitting Sing Tel

Kinda coincidental that he resigned hastily a day after Mr Lim K.S. passed on .... Wild guess only here.

I see uncertainity in the TA charts for SingTel. Hard to say what the market reaction will be tommorow.

Wonder what he plans to do with the 24-25million shares that he is deemed to have interest in.
