Mainboard-listed Asia Tiger says one of its units has clinched two Clean Development Mechanism, or CDM, projects in China. It says each of these projects could generate recurring net revenue of up to 200 thousand US dollars a year over a 10 year period. The CDM Consultancy Services unit, which was recently set up, plans to tap the growing demand for greenhouse reduction projects across Asia Pacific. In addition to the two secured projects, the unit has already identified 20 projects that it'll target over the next 12 months. Asia Tiger through its subsidiary, Industrial Power Technology Pte Ltd (IPT), a leading supplier of industrial power plants and a specialist in converting biomass into useable electricity, has secured a $19.8m contract to construct a rice husk fired biomass power plant in Thailand's Sakeo Province.
IPT will build the power plant for JMJ Enterprice (Thailand) Pte Ltd. The power plant will have a capacity of 9.9 megawatts, and will take approximately 20 to 22 months to complete.

This counter had very low volumes until only the past few days. Something's brewing for this one.
