Hi,

I just come into the big family of Sharejunction. Very good, at least this is an alternative to shareinvestors.com. But no many people know that there is a free porter for us in Singapore, shareinvestors.com is no longer free. Hope everyone try to spread the news.

Hello puntit,

I can't really tell how low its going to go. But I think its still likely to further downtrend.

Hi Sinagporegal,

I also think Hi-P is downtrending still and I was supposed to short it. This week, the stock jumped a bit after this question of  'ripe for the picking?' was asked here. Maybe some bought in by gasak putah method after hearing this 'ripe' suggestion? Any views on how long more will it go down. Can I still short (sell) it? Cheers!

Hi shplayer,

I used ShareJunction charts. I put RSI as the top chart and I use Bar chart below.

You'll notice that in the past 2-3 weeks, the RSI has been uptrending while the Bar Charts have been more or less stagnant. This is a clear divergence.

Hi singaporegal,

Which chart do you use to see divergence between RSI and stock price? Stochastic indicators?

Thanks

Hi puntit,

For Hi-P, its still downtrending leh... quite a sustained long term one at that. Avoid lah.

Hi shplayer,

TA indicators are looking better for NOL day by day. I see a clear divergence forming between the RSI and the stock price. A potential buy. However, the stock market will likely fall tommorow and this might affect NOL somewhat. I would advise a patient approach... see what happens tommorow afternoon.

Hi Singaporegal,

Very new to TA, but looking @ NOL charts, indicators look like its trending up. Of course, the rally on Fri contributed alot to this trend.

Appreciate your views on this.

Thanks

Hi Singaporegal,

Do you have any clue with TA on how much lower will Hi-P go? Is it ripe for the picking now?

What does FA say about this counter? Is it any goos as a long-term hold?

Cheers.

thanks shplayer!

For NOL, the trend is certainly changing. Still relatively unclear but I think there will be a sudden change in price within the next 7 days. If I were to guess, I think the price is more likely to go up than down. About 60% chance of that happening, I think.

Wait a couple more days to be sure.

Hi shplayer,

This is just my TA opinions of the stocks you highlighted. My forecast horizon is only only 2-4 weeks. Please also seek out FA experts for a second opinion.

NOL - Trend is unclear and still emerging. It was originally downtrending and there appears to be some changes. Not too sure. Check back with me again in a week's time.

SembCorp - Starting to uptrend. A potential buy. The RSI and A/D line are all uptrending. A good sign. Bollinger bands also being squeezed now. A sign of explosive price movement.

Metro - On sustained downtrend. Low volume and therefore not very liquid.

MIIF - Possibly uptrending.. hard to say for this one.

TA techniques, I find, do not really work for cheap stocks like MIIF and Metro. They are too volatile.

I actually read  this book first - "Long term secrets to short term trading" before reading  "The Right Stocks At The Right Time"

LW's books are pretty expensive (>$90) but they are very worth it.

Hi shplayer

If you want a novice (starter) course on TA, can attend www.terrraseeds.com novice course. They are so far one of the better TA training provider in Singapore. They also provide support to continue your TA learning after completion of their course.
