This is not good at all. Have those "scholars" implemented changes to the system thought about this? Guess not!
Its so frustrating. Feeling a bit lost because can't gauge instantly whether the market is having strong or weak trend.
I have broking account with more than 3 different broking firms, but none can give me live feed of the indices.
Difficult for me to trade like that, at least for me.

Subscribers of BT Online can get real time updates of the new STI & FTSE Indexes. These are not on streaming....but have to refresh the screen for updates....OLD TECHNOLOGY!!

Please
be informed that the revamped STI as well as the other 18 new indices of
the FTSE ST Index Series, expected to go live on 10 Jan 2008, will not
be available in all POEMS trading platforms, our trading
representatives' terminals and Phillip corporate website wef 10 Jan 2008
until further notice. SGX will discontinue and will no longer provide
the current STI. The infrastructure required to distribute the new FTSE STI through the trading
system (industry-wide) will not be ready by 10 Jan 2008.
From 10 Jan 2008, STI and its Index Series reflected on our websites will be the closing values as of 9 Jan 2008. In the mean time, you can obtain the FTSE STI data from other sources such as Reuters, Bloomberg, SGX and Yahoo! Finance websites.

There was a network outage this morning that resulted in website downtime for about 3 hours. We apologise for that.
Also, from today onwards, there will be a new set of FTSE STI indices. We are working towards obtaining a streaming feed for them in the coming weeks. Till then, most of these indices will be updated on an end of day basis. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, you can go to Business Times or SGX websites to view these new indices.
