Patience needed for this counter. Anyway, the volume and freefloat of san teh is low.

But when it starts moving, it can also go up very quickly. The catalyst will happen in 2-3 months time.

Cheers!!

For san teh, there are 3 things going for it.

1) Cement prices in china holding up well. Demand is still higher than supply.

2) New factory will start operation in May.

3) Listing of cement operations in China in June.

High potential of share px increase to near NAV in just 4-6 mths time. Share px stable despite all the wild fluctuation on STI index.

Can buy or not u decide.

Cheers!

i think the biggest risk is they buy back more shares slowly and delist it at a price favourable to them. this way everybody else except them gets the losing deal

Dont wanna say anything much but San Teh seems to take the downtrend in its stride. Maybe I should cut by half and take profit.

There is a shortage of cement in China market as well as other developing countries.

I read in another forum that San Teh might be delisted? Delisting means taked over? Delisting = majort shareholders cornered over 90%?

It is usually not easy to find San Teh follower anyway.

Those who follow the bandwagon for the sake of not to be blamed, then those fund managers are not worth the huge management fees we are paying them.  Don't have their own mind!

its more difficult to go against what others are calling. few of them do. think citigroup was one example calling for a SELL on cosco when i was 2.9 if i rem correctly. maybe those fellas have not loaded up enough then. i think similar to fund managers' ports, it takes greater courage to do something different from the rest and risk being singled out to be blamed.

The worst is a lot of stock brokers are following the same bandwagon. Majority said "BUY", then majority of them will say "BUY".  Don't have their own mind.  I guess they just don't want to be the one that going against the traffic.  Well, I guess it is about time to hold them accountable for what they predicted.

most of the time, analyst do not cover a stock simply because there is not much attention by the mkt seen. how many times have we seen research reports jumping on the bandwagon only after it has started moving for a good while. at the end of the day, we forget brokerages main objective is to induce trade and not gain us retailers profits. how to induce trade if mkt is not even looking much at it? from brokerage point of view, the more the mkt responds to their reports, the more they are likely to steer ctrs in their desired directions, which cannot take place for poorly noticed stcks. i also think, probably thats y u see more reports with an extremely high tp (wont mention names here)

Yeah. Analyst today is simply doing a job, based on facts given, enjoying free meals and free gifts sometimes even free trips, especially to China. I was informed that whenever there is a tgrip involved, most analyst will jump in. For smallish company, hey might not be interested to even pay a visit to the roadshow. Lift is such. Quality of things have degraded over the years following to globalisation. In fact, to analyse some stocks, TA and FA are not important at all.
