Net cash is S$160M, not USD....but still very rare for a Singapore company.

The surge in Crude price argus well for such OIl&Gas enginnering company.

Agreed there will be breakout soon............This oil and gas play has USD160M net cash -  for a Singapore counter (surely better than Scandal-Chips). Cash per share is already 27.7cents and now trading 28cents!!!! ALso order books S$480M already ensure another S$50M-S$100M addiiotnal cash next year.

Buy now at 28.5, get div 2.5!

In this difficult environment, a slight drop in profit as compared to previous year is, imo, a good result! More over, you still will receive a dividend of 2.3c.

Most important is the order book is still strong and expanding. The Company has got no debt and Cash balance of $157mn. and a strong business model! With good and prudent management team, I've no doubt Rotary could, not only ride-out this crisis; but also would come out very much stronger. Cheers!

Long term wise yes as it would take quite awhile for Rotary to recover due to the current market outlook. Accumulate when px is suppressed for the long term is the way to go! Cheers!

PS. don't read into the signal too much!

Good news indeed in time like this! These contracts were all from 'old Customers'......what I hope to see is new accounts added and that would be great!!! Cheers!

Rotary Engineering Limited said on Tuesday that it has secured four contracts amounting to S$27.7 million.

They include an Engineering, Procurement & Construction contract awarded by Oiltanking Odfjell Terminal Singapore Private Limited (OOTS) and three revamp and maintenance contracts of varying values secured through its wholly-owned subsidiary Rotary IMC Pte Ltd.

As far as I know Rotary is still fundamentally sound with good cash positions and. The down side is with securing new projects as most Companies are slowing down or delaying with spendings. The current contracts-in-hand should see Rotary ride-out this crisis although margins maybe sqeezed.

I won't be surprised if the Oman Group proposes a buy-out from Mr Chia Kim Piow. The question is whether Mr Chia is willing to part with his 'baby' - if the price is right....why not?  Cheers!

No, no this wasn't the one I've in mind (that's why I qualified by saying ...not so soon though.). What you're seeing now is just the continuation of the market selldown by Fund Managers across the Board.

Fundamentally, there isn't anything wrong with Rotary. Margins maybe squeezed though, due to higher cost of raw materials. All said, I'm still confident that the Company could manage the expenses and produce a good result for FY08!

The best strategy is to go in when FOOLS dare not; and out when FOOLS are all geared up 'to cheong ah'! Cheers!

Ha... When I looked back to my previous post, i realised that i was wrong. That's what i mean by TA by MACD can go wrong sometimes. So never commit too much at one go.

Anyway, i think rotary is near its NAV now. Good value now.

It seems like 0.61 is the bottom. In this kind of market, it is still at this level. Very positive.
