Hold | 66.5 cents
OCBC Investment Research cuts Raffles Education Corp’s fair value estimate to S$0.650 from S$0.815, and maintains a Hold rating.
This follows the group’s Q3 earnings, which showed a 15.4-per-cent decline in revenue on-year and reflected a 33.7 per cent and 20.6 per cent cut in FY11 and FY12 core earnings estimates respectively. “Besides the persistent structural headwinds still facing REC, we also note that start-up expenses from the expansion of new colleges continued to cause a drag on REC’s earnings,” OCBC says.
The stock is down 3 per cent at S$0.64.
strong support at $0.715. BB not selling liao.

IF fall back from $0.73 to S$0.280 ? in current market means only $0.033 per share before consol at $0.26, very scary .,,,KIM ENG Securities must have been making money shorting this one when they made a BUY call .....OR other BBs not happy trying to dump it and prove KIM ENG wrong ? OR all go down together....who can tell the future ???? 1 yr/2yr....?

Agreed. Already warned people about this before the consol happened. When price was ataround .28. Now, it's equivalent to 0.24 and still can fall further. This one no future ..... Ask yourself this question. Why need to consol at all ? Is it because you miss those days when you were trading at more than $1.00 ? How did it fall to become below 0.30 than ? Because business model not happening and China plays already proved to be punctured.
Next to go, Healthway. Business here not good, paying on news about China expansion.....

Read in TODAY ONLINE a few days ago that
Internal Audit at SGX is a Best Practice but nOt a LEGAL REQUIREMENT ?
Due to this " As You Wish" attitude, many SGX listed companies have no Internal Audit at all.
Similarly, Corporate Governance in Singapore is Only a CODE and nOt LAWS ?
Singapore listed companies practice whatever " As You Wish" Corporate Governance ?
For this reason, S-chips can list in SGX but SGX cannot govern the S-chips' Boards ?
S-chips could collect money from Singapore shareholders and remit to China ?
But S-chips claimed that they could not remit the same money back to Singapore to pay dividends ?
What is this ? ? ? ?
Singapore shareholders' money can go to China but cannot return to Singapore ? ? ? ?

I think this is a sensible decision for all concerned.
In 1987, I set up the first private university college in Australia in Claremont and then built a new campus in Joondalup. It was called the Australian Institute for University Studies and it conducted courses from Curtin University and London University. Around that time Alan Bond was thinking of setting up a private university in Yanchep but he built it in the Gold Coast. I tried to build a second campus in Sydney but failed for a variety of reasons.
The fact of the matter is that Perth is not a popular destination for International Students coming to Australia. In my opinion it is best for Midland to get an existing university in Perth to build a branch campus for conducting Foundation Courses and First Year Courses.

If you had girls like the one pictured above going to Midland uni, I think you'd see TEE results in surrounding schools jump 500%.
