Q& M Dental Group secures US$15m loan from IFC
Q& M Dental Group (Singapore) says it has entered into a US$15 million ($18.5 million) loan agreement with International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
The loan consists of a US$10 million term loan and a US$5 million convertible loan which may be converted into new ordinary shares.
Q& M says proceeds from the loan will contribute towards the RMB180 million ($34.1 million) required to fund the company’s expansion in China. Q& M intends to continue building its dental business in China by the acquisition, establishment, expansion, operation and management of dental laboratories and clinics as well as through organic growth. /theedge//=================================================== Diversify your portfolio.

Firstly, many fear dental treatment. Secondly, if it is expensive, why not go to any of the small dental clinic in the neigbourhood. Moreover, it is more convenient and less threatening. The prospect of growth is limited.

Friends whom visited their branches feedback that the cost they charged is very expensive.
And declare that they will probabaly go to other neigbourhood dental.
Guess many whom visited them before vow to avoid them for the same reason of high charges.
Perhaps the high charges is due to the facts that its a public listed company and have to make as much profits as possible in order to benefit its share holders.
So, with the high chargesd and the general public feeback. Thie rprofit may slump in 2010.
The profit for 2009 seems small, if a fall or lesser revenue and higher overhead could mean "Looses" for operation in the years ahead with shrinking clients.
350,000 patients are not members. They may not return. YES in record, All visiters will have their new record opened. Its just for tracking purposed and the same ppl whom visited may decides to visit other neigbourhood dental which are quite alot. Unless they go round and make all of them associates to cast the net bigger.and enable more catched.
They have not so many branches. The incraese in revenuse between o8 and o9 is very small. The incraese in revenure could be due to the fact that, they raise the tretatment charges. :) This will have the effect of old customers going to other service provider and could effect their bottom lines in years that follow.

Somehow...dental care is not something that will be highly sought after...I will definitely try my luck if it runs a plastic surgery business. In years to come...there will be no ugly person in the world because plastic surgery is so advanced.
