1.  Massive shortselling is advocated to produce good business and you can do it unlimited with borrowed shares.  Who can stand massive shorts, put up his hands? So investors are at the mercy of giant shortists, tell me it is not frightening to smart investors.

SGX lose out to SSE & HKSE for newly IPO listing !!

Just tell ourself if we are the owner of the company why to avoid SGX ?

1) How many S-Chips still trade below thier IPO price ?

2) How many S-Chips still trade under it's nav ?

3) The moment you are listed here your company value become great share sales.

4) Potential to become salted fishes will never to turn alive agian .

5) Local investors are KS & KS .

6) pls help to fill up......

 

what do you guys think of mdr and eastgate? still got hope?

 

If it cannot go down further, cannot stay flat forever, the only way is up. Stocks cannot be 0c unless company go bankrupt

 

S-Chips and Penny stocks are not as 'hot' as before - by which I mean in 2006-2007 where there were so many buy calls led by soaring prices.
But as reality unfolds: many such counters come out with poor / limited earnings, as well as reports on financial manipulations. When the economy is in trying times, it doesn't make things better. Also, with tighter risk management and regulations, investment bodies will no doubt want to put their money where the transparency and solid earnings is.

However, I won't discount some really good penny counters. It's not difficult to spot.
As for the dubious ones, it's going to take a long time for confidence to be restored for many of such S-Chip and Penny counters.

I like to call this a miserable state of affairs, our stock market is undervalued.  Very low price vs earnings.  Many smaller capitalized companies in fact are selling shares at a discount.  Imagine..there is no logic.  No logic to invest for returns (unless it materialises) and no logic to list in Singapore.  Brokerage firms and banks will find hard to make fast bucks from capital (stock) market (SGX), so will they try to make fast bucks from stock players.  Afraid they have been  at it already.  Fears, fears...
