Sorry, its Teck Whye, an old n small resident area, next to Chua Chu Kang. For d rich, opp to Pheonix garden, where CW stayed before.

Of course, when during viewing, watching out for d cracks loh, mine at all window's wall, could be materials issue. Kitchen ceiling susceptible to falling concrete esp top floor got active cooking activities.
However, u can ask your agent to table out d weaknesses on old hse, for your ref.
Anyway, welcome to TW, a nice place to live. So far no major criminal issue. Best plenty makan outlets, temple, morsque, church, polyclinic within range for me when old.Hence, those r d reasons why I reluctant to shift to BP. Cheers. |

AK 26 yrs old hse, cracking walls here n there, chialat ah. Regretted, to forgo my new hse at Bkt Panjang in 2002, which got bomb shelter compartment one. Worst forgo another 1500 deposit.
Ha ha, no choice liao, ask d kids to get married n shift out fr ds old pigeon hole loh. Cheers. |

I felt some odd movement while working on my pc during the quake, but did not suspect it's due to the tremors.
Thought it's something due to my poor health or something like that ...
then got up and and did some light exercise movements...
But only realised it's an earth tremor when I received the SMS... from POEMS...

Ha ha, AK got a bad dream. Should I fall off fr d chair, likely due to a huge earth tremor ard ds region, should be worst than
2004 Dec one. Wat should I do, first thing, dump all stocks, in order of merit(earning more $ throw
first), in d shortest possible time, with d best response broking plateform, be it during NYSE or Asia bourses time. Really a bad dream, could be day time thinking too much loh.
Hope it will not happen again, as people ard alrdy punished severely liao. God bless.

I read the papers and they say singapore buildings are built to withstand tremor .... so not earthquake ?
Well the earthquake strike on the other side of Sumatra "900 km" away and almost the whole Singapore felt it...... I guess if the earthquake strike even closer we might see some destruction... This is not good.
I am working in town area, and we felt the tremors as the office building start to swing.
Most people, just stop work, pack up and head home.
i expect some indonesian stock gonna be affected.

JAKARTA - A powerful 7.6-magnitude quake struck off Indonesia's Sumatra island Wednesday, the country's geophysics and meterology agency said.
The quake struck at sea at 5:16 pm (1016 GMT) 78 kilometres (48 miles) southwest of Padang city in West Sumatra province, the agency said on its website.
Local news channel Metro TV reported buildings had collapsed and fires had started in Padang, a city of 900,000, where panicked residents had run onto the streets as the quake hit.
Large buildings were "destroyed" and communications cut off by the Indonesia quake said a geology agency official giving no other details.
Indonesia sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire," where the meeting of continental plates causes high volcanic and seismic activity.
A quake on the main island of Java earlier this month killed 123 people.
In Singapore, tremors were reportedly felt in various parts of the country
