Singtel @ $2.50 is ok. This is a good company and so far has been performing very well in this sector. Very strong regionally and expanding globally. Have vested interest too. Cheers!

Regd = registered . After XD the company will close its book (normally 3 days after XD) to determine the number of shareholders that are entitled to dividend distributions. In Singtel's case it is 11Aug06. So, presuming you bought on 6Aug, you won't have enough time to settle the contract and have the share regd under your name (3T+1 rule). Hope that helps.

so as long as i buy b4 7aug... i should be entitled lo.. maybe got to go "shop" liao as it seems pretty "cheap" to buy..... hehe

No, the share must be regd in your name b4 you're entitled to the dividend.
XD date no more liao.. must buy one day before XD..

So meaning if we buy on 7 Aug and keep till sep or oct... will get the dividend?

Yup, that's the gross dividend payable (ie excl prevailing tax).
I'm a novice, Pl advise for dividend of S$0.025 . How much is the amount? Is it $25.
What about $0.10? that means a dividend of $100??? per 1000 lot

And also when is the cut off date?
it seems like normally they give out in Aug. I am thinking there is a cut off for the dividend.
Can i know how much they are giving out their dividend?
