$ not evil....let's all make plenty and not forgetting to help those in needs.  GREED for $ is the root of all evil.

We have seen many so-called 'holy' leaders ( eg. Church leaders, etc) getting rich and becoming more 'worldly' and materialistic in recent years...

Maybe it is more practical to serve the Devil and  God (in that order) at the same time,
thus having the best of both worlds?

This seem to to be the trend nowadays, judging by what we can see for ourselves... Smiley

I've seen monks drive Merc. I guess this high profile case will wake those who have gone into a slumber for years to realize that their generosity has inadvertently feed on insatiable materialism even amongst the 'holy' clan. Please continue to donate and support those in need but do it with 'your eyes wide open'.

This episode serves to remind us that man can do wrong, not just the monk CEO, but can be anyone as well. We also heard of many cases whereby family members went to court to fight for family inheritance. No one is perfect in this world. Even supposedly perceived kind people will do wrong things in their life too. The monk CEO and NKF episodes serve to display the self-centredness of man, always having tendency to take care of own's interests above others' interests.

It very sad that more and more people will 'wake up' and feel it is not worthwhile to sacrifice themselves

when they see so much real self-interest, self-benefit going on around them... Smiley

I get annoyed whenever I read about cheats/scams in the newspaper that involve kindness/compassion (e.g. a cheat conned a kind stranger).  To me, this is not about $/cents but creating distrust in the world and diminishing goodwill.  This makes everybody a victim -- when you genuinely need help in an emergency (e.g. lost wallet), may have difficulty finding help.

But on a brighter note -- there are still kind/compassionate people in this world!

I estimated a 2 hours with these light bulb can pay for at least 12 years of my PUB bills.....something like that....Light Bulb only!!!

I have always tell my friend and wife, never to donate to this fancy charity shows.....they are just there to wayang.  And regardless of the photo showing the  poor, the sick, the disabled.

Why am I say all this ?

a) These fancy show are a platform for fancy pple to show off.

b) The mega operation nature of these show make YOUR donation very lossy.  When your $1 probably left with 20cts when it reached the needy.

c) MediaCorpse Charge the chariable entity a fee for the transmission time.  I saw newspaper report S$2,000,000. Plus those crown actor and actress croc tear also need money

d) Many level to go, corruption, missing fund is inevitable.

e) Even SEA largest Telco want a piece of the action.....sad....

f) As of today NKF has not return my wife's $31.50...THEY PROMISED..New management...New Order....ya...right....

Did you ever see Shaw Foundation or Lian Foundation or the Red Cross doing that ??

My friends and wife say I am probably on the extreme end.....because RenCi is OK because Monk CEO is handon.....Right.....How is the CEO Monk handon at the court.

There is really a need to send him to the jail.

I sometime feel that perhaps our kindness has been gang rape.....because not once...twice and more.

BTW, for example, you have a friend that want to come to spore to work....but cannot get an approval.....Why the garment don't want to approve leh.....???  So how far are you willing to help for a, say, BEST friend ?

Will you go that far as in the CEO Monk case  ?
