Commod, ie rubber n palm oil px shed greatly. Local people hv to tighten their belts liao.
Now, most sick people tend to go gov clinic instead of private hosp. A ringgit per registration with free medication in gov clinic whereas min 50 ringgit to place the name at the counter, madicine separate cost.
A day stay in gov clinic costs few ringgit but for the other, a thousand to smell the bed.
None citizen visit gov hosp, needs to pay 100% more on registration, 2 ringgit and hv the other same treatment like locals. The gov hosp over the causeway is Dun Aminah Hosp Besar, turn left 400m away after the old custom. |

SINGAPORE - Singapore hospital and healthcare operator Parkway Holdings said
on Monday it will cut salaries and lay off up to 4 percent of its staff in a bid
to rein in costs.
"The group is not immune to the current global economic challenges," the firm
said in a statement.
Parkway, part-owned by Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd,
said its directors would not receive any fees for 2008 while senior managers'
salaries would be cut by 15-35 percent.
For middle management, the reductions would be between 5 and 10 percent, it
said. Parkway did not say how many people would be affected by the job cuts.
