Few will agreed with your point but it take discipline to do that
just like what WB has...Ghosh... he waited 10 years before he made his move recently...
No doubt this does not change trend of the market, but he does enjoy a margin of safety ...
Best .....bought cheap and not at premium!!!

words of wisdom.
Pessimistic in a way can be good. If not I will never be able to afford to buy some of the stock counters, during good times. Opportunity is created always this way. When some swear they will not enter the market again, this is the best time to enter the stock market as it is fullly discounted.
Just like when property agents start to resign, quit or retrench in numbers, best time to look at property.
Same with stock market, when remisier and dealer start to resign, quit and retrench, best time to look at stock.
I use these sign to indicate whether it is a good time to invest.
think it is 80% pessimism, 20% optimism.
too many by stander for now as everyone has the same thinking ...
today cheap ....tomorrow cheaper ...why hurry...
sentiments rule...
The current market sentiments are 99% pssimism vs 1% of optimism. Even Billionaire Warren Buffet who claimed that it is time to buy America, DJ index seems to be heading south. Be a bystander for now.
PLENTY PESSIMISM + SOME OPTIMISM = STOCK MARKET. SOME PESSIMISM + PLENTY OPTIMISM = STOCK MARKET.............THE STOCK MARKET WILL ALWAYS BE THERE.
