Online Calculators : Stock Price - Return & Intrinsic Value Based on Earnings

http://www.zroundtable.com/ZRT_files/Finance/scripts/calc_stock_earnings.htm

I was trying to use the Online calculators that lg 6273 posted just to expt on IndoAgri.

I entered the price as $0.79, EPS as $0.09 (671 Rp), 5% growth in earning for 1-3 yrs, 4-6 yrs and 7-10 yrs. I used a very conservative 5% bcos the EPS was 536 Rp in 2005, 648 Rp in 2006 and 671 Rp in 2007 (25% more than 2005, i.e 12.5% per yr).

It computed as 8% growth per yr for the next 10 yrs, and be worth $2 in 10 yrs and its current intrinsic value is $2.32.

It comment that "This looks like a reasonable investment. Compare the stock price to its intrinsic value". Any comment ?

Thank you Stupidbear for reminding of the website.

I was reading on dividend and came across high dividend yield and dividend payout ratio. Those interested, may read this link http://www.investopedia.com/articles/basics/04/072304.asp

I was trying to figure out how the earning has a bearing on dividend, thus what type dividend policy that a company follows. For those interested, read here http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/011703.asp

The earning per share is 404 Rp.

The price is 55.5c= 3607.5 (using S$1=6500Rp)

Thus PE = 3607.5/404 = 8.9

Generally the PE we get from SJ and many other sources are not up to date. So it will be good to keep track in this forum or on yr own.

Reading Annual Report to grasp the fundamental is truly a nightmare bcos the companies do not use one std way.

Which are the simplest 5 or 6 indicators that one has to keep track ? PE, NAV, Gearing Ratio, etc ?

Let us start with FirstRes Financial Highlights for year 2007.

INCOME STATEMENT (RP Billion)
Revenue 1691.4
Gross Profit 925.1
Gains from changes Bio Assets 156.5
Profit from operations 959.3
EBITDA 855.7
Profit before tax 890.7
Net Profit Attributed to equity holders 431.3
Balance Sheet (Rp Billion)
Current Assets 1813.6
Total Assets 6249.7
Current Liabilities 441.8
Total Liabilities 2943.0
Shareholders' Equity 3306.6
Key Ratios
Gross Profit Margin(%) 54.7
Operating Profit Margin (%) 56.7
EBITDA Margin (%) 50.6
Net Margin (%) 25.5
Gearing Ratio 0.48

How do we calculate the PE, NAV, etc ? Thanks to everyone who is kind to explain.

Hope to make this Topic informative for everyone by using a std way to study FA.
