Thanks.  I glanced at Teletext early this morning and thought ST Engr div quite good  (not vested yet and not sure about its risk).
Personally, I have been eyeing Ascendas but is wary about jumping in now due to the recent mkt.

Hmm off the top of my head I'd say SMRT is pretty good, and has almost no risk. Otherwise, try the REITs, they have to pay most of their earnings as dividends. Take a look at capitacomm. Prices going up as we speak

AK had rcv my last UOB KAY div on 29 May 08.

UOB KY is one of my online broking houses.

if u are POSB/DBS accounter holders, you would see the below showing that CDP is paying out the div to your acct.

Date                 Code              Reference                Debit                  Credit

29 May 2008   CDP               CDP-UOB-KAY                               $xxx.00

Is anyone using Kayhian here? How long do we have to wait to receive dividend payments from their shares held in Kayhian? I have some stocks with payable date today and I have received nothing in my bank account. The FAQ in Kayhian does not address this either.

As far as I know, payment of dividents has nothing to do with the brokerage house. If you did not sell the shares before the ex date, then you should receive your divident in your bank account on that day.

If your CDP a/c is not linked to your bank a/c, then you will receive a cheque by mail....it may take a couple of days for the mail to arrive.

If you used margin with UOBKH, the div would have gone into your margin a/c.

If you used CPF, then your investment bank would have received it but it may take the bank a couple of days to credit to your CPFIA.

From my understanding, this will not happen unless you sell your stocks before the ex-date. Did you???
