Actually, no need to 'q' if u are willing to buy at current price unless no one wants to sell to you at all. Same goes for sell..Smiley

Eg, you selling Chicken rice at a stall in a hawker centre. There are other stalls selling chicken rice as well.  Let us assume that the quality and quantity of the chicken rice is exactly the same. (So same counter, same no. of lots)

You want to sell at $3 a plate.  You rival stall sell $2.80 a plate, and yet another rival stall sell $2.50 a plate.

As a consumer, (or buyer) I will go to the stall selling at $2.50 a plate.  And if they are sold out for the day, I will go to buy at the $2.80 stall. Unless I really die die must eat chicken rice, I will not buy $3/plate. But if I must have that chicken rice, and there is no more $2.50/plate and $2.80/plate, I will buy the $3/plate.

Can comprehend?

You can say that. Sometimes its not so much that nobody wants to buy but rather no one wants to buy at the price that u got to offer. If you look at some of the inactive penny stocks (casa) for example. The buy 'q' is at 6cts while the sell 'q' is at 11cts. With such a wide spread, it seems the sellers are unwilling to sell at 6cts while the buyers are unwilling to buy at 11cts. If u wanna trade in stocks, its also impt that you look for those that are more active, otherwise u may end up holding the stocks long term or force to sell at a very low price

most of the time, there will be people buying and selling. if you selling, it's just a matter of whether u are willing to sell at the buying queue's price, vice versa. if you selling and dun want to queue, just sell at the buying price.

Agree w/ both.

Whenever I get impatient, remind myself that I don't need to Q while standing or camping.  Smiley
