Try to force sell my NOL a few months back.....because form is missing...What form !!!! WOW!!

Am I in 1818AD or 2008AD ?? Almost wanted to report police.

I am the first batch of lab mouse to use the NEW and IMPROVED screwdriver.

Anyone using the iOCBC new platform?

When they switched me over, it was full of bugs e.g the 'calculator' cannot calculate 'breakeven'. The 'Sales summary', 'Queue Track' and 'Time & Sale' were not streaming. Today, I have problems logging in.

Have asked them to put me back on the old platform until they sort out the new one.......at least its working.

BTW, I have not yet experienced trading problems w/ UOB-KH.  As for poems, only read about it.

Yes, I also like to check out the competitors whenever my reasonable feedback is being ignored.
Hey, that's how we do our part to improve the service standards instead of letting the providers package us.
If no good companies avail, then consider opening my own (ha, ha, ha, dreaming big only).

If I were to compare Poems and UOB-KH, I prefer the display (trading screen) of UOB-KH.  Somehow, I prefer the layout, font size, and color.
Poems also has its good pts.  I like its FORCE key (not needing to Q 10 bits), mkt depth (ordering flexibility), etc.

Why don't you just keep your current "fryer" for future usage while you cook w/ another fryer?

Indian national IT people we call them foreign talents.  No wonder they always show less talent when locally.  They only talented when outside Singapore.

Generally Singaporeans lack ability at IT platforms, very regrettable. Whose fault? Those in their thirties and forties, fifties and sixties are not trained in ITs, and they all comprise our workforce. When computer break down, they call repairmen.  When internet breakdowns, they call Singtel about Singnet..  When Singtel (Singnet) breaks down, who do they call?..kekeke....

Do you have this feeling that I have about this online trading problems... it is that the problems seem to surface only when the stock market is heavily shorted-down (bearish), and not when it is in very bullish mood.

Normally in very bullish trend, the volumes are even far greater than during bear trend. Yet, you seldom see any computer trading problem. Why? Of course, the trading house can say it's because of power supply problem or other excuses... how true?

As for ekekeg comment of our lack of IT skills,  most of that are now outsourced to foreign indian labours. Advance countries also use cheaper indian labours in their IT maintenance. else, the foreign labours here less motivated, eat snake (skiving)

Perhaps the only reason we can attribute to all these problems, is that our IT skills and knowledge levels in internet communications and interactive data streaming, servicing and maintenance ability in electonic platforms are far far lower than most advance countries.  Just look around, we have too much problems on online activities such as down time, hanging, not too efficient ISPs and so on.

I wonder what sort of IT platforms do they all use? Unix or Windows based? And, do they have things like clustering, or server farm. And for the disk subsystems, fully RAIDed and mirrored to claim 'never down' status. Only time is when each server is maintained and updated for a 5-10 minutes window, while the rest of the servers continue to function.

POEMS is another platform in which many had technical problems before...call broker last time also no use...as their system out of order when market was in a panic...as for UOB KH...never experience any setbacks with it before

I also find iocbc problematic when the market is hot and prices begin to move.  Since iocbc is one of the few bank brokerages, their system very often splash cold water onto a hot market day. A large portion of investors could not buy or sell online when the system crawls or hangs . I have watched it happened over the years and I really don't like them, but what to do.  Nowadays I trade more on POEMS and find it quite reliable except for the acct management menu.

been using IOCBC since 1998. Yes, they do have hiccups and it can be frustrating. What I normally do is to log out and log in again. I use the charts extensively and it meets my needs. Too lazy to consider others....

I have been facing problems with iOCBC whenever the market is 'hot'.

This is a perennial problem and they don't seem to be able to fix it....or rather, they don't want to invest in the hardware to solve the problem.....despite my many feedbacks.

To be fair, they do have pretty good features, but then whats the use when it cannot deliver at crucial moments.

Will appreciate forumers feedback on the reliability of other online sites (POEMS, UOBKH???).....am seriously thinking of switching....but don't want to 'jump out of the fryer into the fire'....so to speak.
