Well I'm more for trading with as few broker as possible. Reason being creditabilities increases when you trade with them consistently for a while. They might offer you perks like lower brokerage, longer repayment periods, etc which works to your advantage when you play contra.

hi, me just started trading. since today is a low volume trading day, just wonder if any one could help addressing this question on how to get around paying lower brokerage fee (0.28%). thanks in advance.

of course! Once the shares are deposited in your CDP account, you can sell through anyone.

However, if you are doing contra and shorting trades, you have to buy and sell using the same broker. Don't ask why. Figure it out yourself!

Yes. But not contra. Contra is a transaction between you and your online broker you bought in the first place.

My iOCBC need to add the transaction into portfilio before I can sell.  It is to discourage shorting.
