Now I have a problem.
Just received dividends for 3 stocks. How to incorporate these numbers into the portfolio to reflect their effect on returns?

Ok, re-reading your question; I believe throwing out on XD, seller can get dividend.

Yes, U would get the dividend when bought with CD. No dividend with XD.
I believe one can get dividend only if purchase b4 XD date.
From what I have seen so far (or so short), don't halt trading just to announce/deliver "common" dividend stuff. I think halt trading for more unusual matter/annoucement.

If i bought STX PO on 18 dec.. which is still CD status and i throw today given that it is showing XD now..... Did i get the dividends??? Do advice on this thks....

Dear simck001, usually the shares price will go up when the dividend is announced especially when it is closer to the XD date.

example is F & N is currently trading Cum-Dividend. If you want to know more you need to goto sgx website on F&N on when is the ex-date. Alternatively, you can use channel 5 teletax page 255 for very quick check on dividend, rights, bonus, etc

when a company giving out divvy, there'll be a CD sign beside the stock. to know when the company is giving out, can check sgx webiste by clciking on the company.
