Vic, surely a 25 year old who understands the difference between investing and gambling would not make such accusatory remarks, would he? Especially one with a nick like that, right surely win??
Investing is a zero-sum game in the sense that for every winner, there is a loser on the other side. Never buy on rumour unless your source is extremely accurate. Having said that, you need to develop your own strategy.
It is EXTREMELY dangerous to base your trading entirely on what you read on the forum or what someone else says. That is a sure fire way to lose money.
Take all postings in the forum by members (including myself!) with a pinch of salt.
The stock market can be merciless. Sometimes you win other time you lose. It is always your own call. Blame no one, remember there is no free lunches, play only with the money you think you can afford to lose, then I guess you can make a sounder decision. Just a thought.

Joeman, sorry to hear about your losses, but that is just part and parcel of trading/investing. There are no guarantees. But be forward looking, you'll make the losses back soon enough if you know what you're doing. Nothing against any financial institutions or hedge fund houses, but sometimes we need to take any recommendations with a pinch of salt. Look forward to Monday, it should be a good day.

I can't find my thread that I post a sad day. Maybe someone deleted it. But I want to thank many people in the forum for encouraging me and especially to Victorian whom I failed to get his email address as my thread was missing. If someone can pass me his email or if Victorian can post on this place again, it would be great to meet you one day.
Just want to clarify in my earlier post as I want to take responsibility for this and straighten it out. The person whom I mentioned as R*y is not Ray as someone pointed out to me but is another person working in the Financial Institution by the nick as R*y. Sorry for the misunderstanding !
