Hi all,

its really interesting reading the opinions you have....

I've been staying in Jurong all my life....when Jurong was a dead town till it is today.....more than 24yrs liaoz.......

But its still a nice place as there are so many places to eat and everything so convenient..the only downside is because its so near to industrial area, dust and dirt are inevitable.......but I reckon they're going to upgrade this area...imagine, we're going to have a Canadian International School soon...so we have foreign talents plus another different grp of foreign talents :)

No worries...no offense coz thats the fact :)

In fact, my company like Little India too!!! *hahhahaha*

RT,

You are right. Very heavy burden and most Singaporean not realizing it. Plenty slog away their whole lives just paying up their house for next 20 to 30 years.....

That's why I said Singapoeran are very high risk takers without realizing it.......Smiley

livermore & sohguanh, you all lived in jurong?? which part?? can jio you all lim kopi or nt?? hahaha..

harryp, no la... because my salary is too low until cannot qualify for any loans, ar hahahhaa... no la, in my own feel, i dun think i can take on the "burden" of property speculating. my relative was 1 but he very heng, earned few mils (approx) in just 3 transactions.. bt very how lian guy so i seldom tok to him.. bt in stocks, you can cut loss/profit or anythng as to me, stocks are relatively liquid than property... and somemore i not dat rich to dabble in property sia.. only got enuff to contra sia.... "sighz"..

RT,

Well done as long as you are betting on something.... .... cannot say which one is better coz many people gone broke on property speculating and their houses seized by banks too....Smiley

Minister topic on putting the CPF withdrawal minium sum to 65 is a real wakeup call to Singaporeans. Some might not even be aware how much they need to retire........

But a 4 room HDB flat in  Jurong.Live for a few years then rent out whole flat. Good investment. Rentals should rise there in future!

Funny ah. Almost 100 percent of Singaporean dare to take large bank loans to bet on houses once they start working... but afraid to take margins to bet on stock. ...... Smiley

elmo10, if possible tell ur fren to wait la.. my sis oso having this problem.. 1 "kuku" hdb 4 room flat asking for $25k above valuation... now it the seller market, wait til 6 - 12 months later (a rough estimate), buyer market will prevail.. until then, seller will have to sell at below $25k valuations liao, hahaaha...

A friend of mine plans to buy a house at CCK- but finds the price too high for her budget. plus owner's are also getting greedy to,HDB evalution high, plus asking for cash above evalution high.

i guess when the stock market took a downturn ba then properties might "cool" off a bit.. bt if interest will to drop, another set of "speculators" will come out and try to "fry" the properties again.. dunno wat will happen to our future generations if property prices will go up in a straight line... scarely..
