It is a rather common way local people speak without meaning it literally...

Hamsters look more like small mice but have no tail.

But I hate mice!.

I did that because I love my little hamster... :)

I bought it as an adult and was surprised it was so friendly...
It didn't  try to dash away  when  I handled it and it stayed  on my palm in such a relaxed though cautious manner...

This is completely different from the young Dwarf Roborovsky which I bought later.

That one made handling him very stressful for me everytime, as it will jump and even bite, then land on the floor and dash away rather swiftly like a mouse.

iPunter, that is good deed. Good for you and I am sure you feel peace whenever you think of what you have done for your dead hamster.

Peace

When my little Golden hamster died...

I took the trouble to 'embalm' him in soft tissue...

then searched for a 'nice' flower bed around a pleasant neighborhood and buried him there... :)

Agree with pikachu. That is the Law of Karma and no one can escape that.

Peace

I'm an animal lover... and I abhore all cruel people who can bear to throw out their pets. I hope that one day their children will abandon them also.

The pet that got thrown out is an innocent party.

The idiotic owner who bought the pet on impulse and threw it away after realising that it cost a bomb and time to keep the pet is the culprit.

SPCA had collected a number of strayed pets yearly.

Is the pet to be blamed?
