billywow, that time i cautious the forum because if the market dun correct then, than it will be heading for a super rally to Dow 12800-13000+ which will also make STI to around 3100- 3200+ currently dow is having problem breaking the high and it is quite worrying coz the institution will just use any "valid" reason to correct and take profit..

feb will be just another small correction like in may 05 before climbing again..

However, it may also formed a extended super rally to till may 06.. with the economy doing well, and house sales falling, the ppl will choose to invest in stocks than property thus it will push the stocks even higher. if the oil keep its price below 60 per barrell, it will be a fuel to the stock crazy push up north.

these days, the tide changes very fast. a single event can alter the course of the mkt. i heard that they discover the H5N1 virus in HK again. hopefully, it doesn't spook the mkt

Actually, sometimes calculations are quite likely to be   +/-  few months... :)

And more importantly, we had a terror-free year in 2006 and that's why global market is chionging now!

Osama & gang may have just 'used up their annual leaves' and may be back in action soon with Saddam's hanging as an excuse against the US. *Sigh!

As I had read it somewhere before: "Buy in November and sell in May!"

No wonder my guts instinct tells me to sell off my CSM shares before CNY, Cashiertan!

Honestly, I am feeling weird feeling these days that the expected correction is looming .... So I am with you this time. :P

Coz you used to caution us of the correction for the last few months, while i was cheering for a market rally then, remember? HeeHee!

I believe the 'craze' will always be there as long as there is a stock market in existence. You can see the truth of this simply by recalling that the Dow, for instance, was only at 3500 or less not so long ago and it has risen to its present 'record' level. So I believe in the future, the Dow will indeed maintain its ever-rising nature,  puntuated periodically with corrections along the way.

newmoon...

hehe... I can agree with you that people are rather crazy when they are in the stock market, but I must also disagree with you specifically that they are "lunatic" if you mean by this that they are disfunctional individuals and managers. Hope you don't mind my disagreement on that... :)

From the performance of the dow, nasdaq and S&P last night the Full Moon wiped out the Capricorn effect. Do not underestimate the number of lunatic investors ( individuals and hedge fund managers} that participate in this crazy game. Years ending with 07 give zero returns unlike James Bond in Casino Royale.
