Long-Term Secrets to Short-Term Trading
By Larry Williams.
This book is our own Singaporegal's favourite. It is her 'secret manual' to stock market profits which has helped to make her the successful trader she is today. One can say that to posses such a manual is akin to the ancient Taoist discovering a rare and secret manual to spiritual enlightenment. This is a book for the more advanced and serious traders.
I found that ordering books form Amazon is a breeze. You get it delivered to your home within a month or less.
And for the above particular book which costs more than S$160 at a local bookstore, you can get it at Amazon for much much less (including shipping). You'll be surprised by the money you save! You can do your own calculations to confirm this.
My advice to traders and investors is not to punt until 'shiok-shiok" that you forget the stock market is not a tame animal. Although it may appear tame, it can strike you anytime and give you a big whack during your most euphoric and exuberant moments.
Better prepare yourself by educating yourself... only thusly can you minimise your losses when they come.
All My Favourite Stock Market Books
Hi Bunbun...
You said were going to attend the Terraseeds course... how's the going?
Are you applying the TA teachings in your trading now?
Hi ViperSTI...
You can find many stock market and investment books
here... List of Stock Market Books
This book by Martin J Pring will appeal more to beginners and intermediate learners who want a 'solid' yet simple book on TA.
Technical Analysis Explained
Is there a thread where all good investment books are consolidated for easy reference?
If not, can we start a thread? Apologises if there is one.
Before attending any TA course, it is a good idea to do some reading beforehand to prepare yourself for the practical hands-on sessions conducted during the classroom training. Even if you don't intend to attend any classroom training, these books should be able to make you a knowldegeable stock market participant.

2) Technical Analysis of Stock Trends
3) Long-Term Secrets to Short-Term Trading
This last book is our own TA expert, Singaporegal's favourite. I think Terraseeds conducts classes every month or so.
Blessedviper,
I am not in a hurry. Let me know when you are ready.
Hi LPlate,
thanks for the offer but Feb course seems to rush for me as I am just starting to read Pring's TA book. Too newbie to be able to benefit fully from the course. Might delay a bit. Sorry for that.
Hi Blessedviper,
I would like to attend the course too (in Feb). Let's get the 2pp discount.
How to get in touch ?
Oh! ... bunbun's another lady rose in ShareJunction! Your name is very decieving.
Yah... good idea to go for a course. But like what Daemon says, trading is like swimming. Practise makes perfect.

Hi blessedviper, no mention it. Just hope that the info can be of a bit wee wee help to you. Good Luck in your investing.
Hi all,
IMHO, trading is like swimming in the open sea. We can learn swimming from websites, books and from all sources. In the end, nothing prepares us better than actually doing some small trades, getting our feet wet, and not drown trying.
Some people manage to teach themselves swimming and can say that learning from books and websites alone is enough, some would say it's not enough and have 'near drowning' experiences.
Best to get a swimming coach, or a mentor to teach and guide us along, that way we learn the fastest and safest.
just my 2cents worth.
hi pikachu, i'm going for the TA course first. taking baby steps at a time. skills still not very honed, so let's sharpen that a little first.
in a separate thread, i was 'classifed' as mister bunbun. Elf, like yourself, i don't wish to go for gender-change operation :)
Many thanks to all, I shall attend the course after finish reading Prings TA explained book.
However, would it be possible to find another person pairing up to enrol for the course to take advantage of the 2 pp discount in this forum?
Hi blessedviper,
8 hours is definitely not enough. No TA course can change you from a newbie to an experience investor overnight.
I would suggest you do some basic reading before you attend one of these courses.
These courses should be treated as a booster course after you have had some idea what TA is about. The most helpful thing about the course is not the lecture notes but you can ask questions that isn't covered in the books to the experienced trainer (who is usually a good TA person).
You will get much more out of the course then.
Hope this helps!
