Me too. I offloaded my genting shares by 4.30 today. Not bad, made 1k for holding 10 lots for two months. Never be greedy. Last casino bid was caught holding Capital Land and Keppel Land like Shanghai hairy crab (hongkongers call tai-chap-hai) - never let go!
I sold my Genting holdings today to take profit liao. Do not want to take chance this time round. Better to take profit before IR result.
Genting has roped in DreamWorks - the movie animation company co-founded by
legendary Hollywood director Steven Spielberg - to spice up its bid for the Sentosa
integrated resort (IR). Chairman Lim Kok Thay has included plans for DreamWorks movie
studios in his detailed proposal to the Singapore government. "'If people were generally
impressed by James Cameron in the first bid, I would say Steven would blow everybody
away, even more so," Mr Lim said. 1,400 sqm DreamWorks Digital Animation Studio at

animators use state-of-the-art computer technology to create some of today's most popular

We already have an angmoh IR at Marina Bay, so it will be good to have a 'Asian Perspective'. Besides Genting is bringing in Universal Studio which the govt tried but failed to bring in.
The race is down to which of the 3 can bring in more tourists. I guess the one who can best address this 'needs' will get it. Just like the Marina Bay, no one really addressed the need of MICE except Sands, so they got it although they were the dark horse.
They r the favourite but dun forget for the case of marina IR, most popular didn't win. if true, a lot will really get burned fm star cruise and genting...
i hope they dun get. Spore dun need another genting. u should see how Sands and Wynn are doing for Macau.. the old man of macau is losing like biz to the angmohs...
Same for genting.. no point getting another losing dog into the spore economy, what we need are innovative IR from the angmohs.. Genting is boring and conservative..
