chipchip66,
1 trade of 1,552 lots done @ $4.08 at pre opening, and 1,328 lots done after close @ $4.10....total done outside trading hours ...2880 lots.
The rest were done between $4.04 to 4.08..... most of which (2,707 lots) at 4.04 and sold to buyers (2,808 lots)...i.e. people were dumping SPH.
If you look at the total pre opening and after closing, and the trades 'sold to buyers'.....some big guys may be accumulating and they have chosen auspicious number of lots to accumulate.......
HaHa....just an observation.....no fundemental value to it.
singaporegal, chipchip66,
Thanks for your inputs.
Hi shplayer,
Although the Acc/Dist can be seen to rise, it only happened in the past 3-4 days. I think its too early to tell if its a sustained trend because the rise is insignificant as compared to the last month.
RSI seems pretty flat to me too... in fact, looks more like a slow downtrend (if you take the timeframe of the past month)
Bollinger bands show that nothing interesting is going to happen. The only bright spark is the Chaikin Oscillator.
So... in my interpretation -
(1) A/D = inconclusive
(2) RSI = flat
(3) Bollinger = nothing interesting
(4) Chaikin = uptrending
All in all... I think nothing interesting is going to happen for some time.

Activity picked up in the last hour or so. The bulk of the trade is around $4.04 to $4.06 if i am not mistaken. For it to jump to $4.10 at closing really makes me wonder if there are good news coming. how much will hardwarezone.com bring in moeny for them?? Is it a good move or Monday will see selling again bcos of this??
singaporegal,
The acc/dist, chaikin and RSI are all trending up (although RSI's is not too strong up). Vol on Fri is quite strong..
Is your conclusion due to the fact that the Boll B are still relatively flat and not showing strong uptrend signs? Is this a major consideration in your assesssment?
Thanks for your advice.
chipchip66,
SPH FY2006 is 31 Aug 2006.
They will be posting their 2H and FY06 results in Oct.
billywows,
Think the advert revenues for IMF/WB meet will be booked in 1Q FY07.
next week or so will announce 2H earnings, so SPH might rise in anticipation!
Hi shplayer,
Hard to say... I think its going to continue to be pretty stagnant for a while longer.

singaporegal,
My take is SPH charts looks like it is beginning of uptrend?
SPH's earnings will be much boosted by the massive ads sales during the IMF/World Bank meetings too ......
singaporegal,
As a FA practioner, patience is the name of the game. If the fundemental/financial parameters are right, the rewards will be forthcoming.
thanks for the heads up on the dividend!
However, it seems (at least for now) that no one seems to be particularly interested in SPH yet ... from what I read in the TA charts.

Hey tks for the reminder, I will buy 3 lots on CPF tomorrow.
Inview of the forthcoming announcement of the end of the year dividend, SPH's shares should rise. The question is to what level?
The forecasted dividend is about 15 cents per share and that will bring the share price to around 4.2 which does not really reflect the actual value of this stock.
What if SPH were to divest Starhub and M1? I remember reading an article anticipating the divestments of the above but till today, there is no news.
Does anyone wish to comment on this?
Thanks
